Christmas shopping loophole

As Christmas draws closer, one chore on everyone’s mind is shopping. I say “chore” because that’s pretty much what it is around this time of year. Unless you’re someone who loves long lines, aggressive salespeople, and competing with other shoppers, you find Christmas shopping to be unpleasant. Add in the fact that this year’s sales have been extremely tempting. They draw everyone to the stores and that makes shopping an even bigger terror.

I have, however, discovered the loophole to Christmas shopping: online shopping. It’s perfect. All you need is a credit card and you’re good to go. Every store you could ever want to step foot in can be found online and you can virtually find everything you need. There are even websites with items you might never find in an actual store – eBay, for example.

I do the majority of my shopping on Amazon, which even provides “free super-saver shipping” if you spend over $25. What could be better? You don’t have to wait in those lines that never seem to get any shorter. You don’t have to deal with those pesky salespeople pushing their products in your face. You don’t have to shove others out of the way to reach the last item on the shelf (not that you ever would).

As long as you don’t wait until the very last second to do all of your shopping, doing it online can be such a better way to get through your shopping list. Just make sure you don’t get too addicted to online shopping – debt isn’t all that festive. So give yourself a gift this Christmas: the gift of easy online shopping.
