You’re on the commuter train on your way home from a long day or night in the city and as soon as you sit down the woman sitting behind you begins talking on the phone at the top of her lungs. Unsure if she realizes exactly how loud she is talking the further and further you go, the more and more you are learning about her story which chances are, you aren’t at all interested in.
Some people do not seem to have enough common sense as to when they should or shouldn’t use their cell phone. If they need to use it for some reason, then they should keep their conversation quiet and short so no one else has to listen as to what they did over the weekend.
The same goes for the person playing their i-pod at its maximum volume level so you have no choice but listen to whatever shit they are listening to. If you want to listen to your i-pod which I do, that’s fine, in fact it is better then talking on the phone. But, don’t play it so loud so the people all around you can hear what you are listening to word for word beat for beat.
When in public, keep your cell phone calls to a minimum and you i-pod so only you can hear and everyone will be happy…
I completely agree with your blog Bottoms-up. I was sitting in the computer lab yesterday when a young man came in talking very loudly on his cell phone, the entire lab was silent except him. I couldn't help but hear him obviously talking to his girlfriend, begging her to tell him what she got him for Christmas. There is a time and place for conversations like these, and public places where everyone is in close quarters and keeping to themselves, is NOT the place.
